Wow, what a couple of weeks! Being on I’m a scientist was an incredible experience. I learnt a lot! It was just so amazing to see how enthusiastic young people are about science and volcanoes in particular!!

With my prize money I am getting a remote controlled quadcopter, so that we can make some videos and take some aerial photographs of villages near volcanoes. Hopefully this will be really engaging for young people in these places, helping them to learn about volcanic hazards.

Thank you to everyone who asked questions and those that voted for me! The other scientists in my zone were really great…but the enthusiasm for volcanoes was relentless!

I would recommend that any scientist, regardless of age, should apply to take part in I’m a scientist. It was genuinely brilliant.
