Question: Do you just study the causes for hepititis B, or try to create a cure for it?

I study both really. Most of the time I study the causes because this can give good ideas for ways to develop medicines that might cure it. But recently the people in my lab did a test on people with Hepatitis C where we gave half of them a new kind of medicine that we think might cure the virus and the other half got no medicine. We’re still looking at the results from that test but we really hope we might have found a medicine that might help cure people with Hepatitis C.
