Definitely worse!! Did you know that we have more bacteria cells in us than human cells? Most bacteria are needed to keep us healthy so I definitely think life would be worse 🙂

worse lots of small species eat bacteria, then bigger things eat them and bigger things eat them until they reach the top of the food chain so to get rid of bacteria would have a knock on effect on loads of different species. The snow yeti crab actually growns bacteria on its claws to eat so without bacteria they would die!

Life would definitely be much much worse without bacteria! Actually most of the processes in the biological world depend on bacteria. If you can imagine that life on earth is like a pyramid with all the animals and plants in it then bacteria would be right at the bottom. Bacteria are the base and the foundation of everything and are needed.
Although there are many bad bacteria which harm other creatures there are also lots and lots of good bacteria! For example there are loads of bacteria inside you which help to break down and digest your food so that you can live. There are also lots of bacteria in the ocean which make the oxygen you breathe so definitely life without bacteria would be worse!

I’m pretty certain that life as we know it couldn’t exist without bacteria, so I’d definitely say worse.
