      Lava from the average volcano is just over 1000 degrees Celsius. The temperature depends on the type of lava/volcano. Sometimes, because volcanoes let out hot gasses, the surface of the ground can be quite warm as well. I have known a few people who’s soles have fallen off their shoes because the glue melted!
