You would never get turned away unless the job was as a diving instructor and I doubt you would apply for that job any way 🙂

In my job just now I don’t do any swimming at all (unless I want to) and I work in conservation – trying to stop fish from being fished to extinction – so you don’t have to get in the water if you don’t want to and to be honest most jobs you won’t have to.

When people study fish reproduction they usually do it in a lab so you wouldn’t need to be in the water at all, in fact one of the girls that I studied with doesn’t even know how to swim.

What I struggle with most is maths, I’m not very good at it but as long as I work hard I can pass it enough to do my job – you can do anything you want to do swimming and your ears won’t hold you back at all.
