• Question: What is the best place to fand an amazing and interesting peice of sea life?

      Thats a really good question and its a difficult one to answer. The deep sea certainly has some wierd and wonderful sea life that is quite often new to science which makes it doubly interesting. So if your looking for something unusual then that is definitely the place to go.

      Most people think you have to go to coral reefs to see amazing sea life but you would be surprised by how much of the interesting stuff is found right here in the UK. We are in a very special position because of the currents in the ocean and whats known as upwelling areas – where all the nutrients come to the surface. Which is why our weather is so mild compared to the rest of northern Europe. This is also why fishing is such an important industry for us because our seas are so productive!

      So to be honest I think that you can find some amazing interesting sea life in our seas and even in the rockpools around Britain.
