  Well I spent a year in Kentucky working with horses, and while I really enjoyed it, at the end I felt like it wasn’t right for me. I spent time working in a horse hospital too when I was in America, and really enjoyed that and thought it might be good to work in a veterinary-related job. In my final year in college I did some practical classes to do with viruses, and at the end of the classes, the lecturer offered me a job in her lab! So that was how I got started working with viruses.
