• Question: you said that you put geneticaly modified bacteria on plants to see what happens, so what is the most unusual thing that you have observed?

      Good question thanks! It sounds like you want to study biology! You should its so fascinating!
      Anyhows yes as u said I work with genetically modified bacteria. Scientists who study genetics create lots of mutants by messing around with DNA and hopefully if you test all these mutants you will find differences. Maybe some will grow better or some will grow worse. If this happens it can be really interesting as it may mean you have found a piece of DNA which is really useful for lets say an example: causing illness.
      So I found some mutant bacteria which grow better on plants than others and now I am working on finding the bits of DNA which are responsible for this. I use lots of really powerful computers to help me with this.
      If you were really interested I could explain more and send you pictures of the mutant bacteria. Just let me know.
